Soito Wines, created in 2013, is one of Dão’s youngest and most promising projects.
At Quinta do Soito, with an already long wine tradition, two teachers gave wings to the dream of transforming the family farm into a reference producer, with wines of exceptional quality.
The Dão region is located in Beira Alta, in the north of Portugal. The geographical conditions there are excellent for wine production: the Serras do Caramulo, Montemuro, Buçaco and Estrela protect the vineyards from the influence of winds.
The 20,000 hectares of vineyards are mostly between 400 and 700 meters high and develop on schistose (in the south of the region) or shallow granitic soils.
It is in a rustic and bucolic landscape that we invite you to discover Quinta do Soito, located between Serra da Estrela and Serra do Caramulo. With approximately 10 hectares, including 7 vineyards, it is located in the village of Tibalde, city of Mangualde, district of Viseu. The Quinta began its project aiming production of unique wines and has been gradually asserting itself as an agrotourism and wine tourism unit, offering a wide range of programs, accommodation and experiences.
The best grape varieties of the Dão. region are produced here: Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Alfrocheiro, Jaén, Encruzado and Malvasia-Fina.
