Domaine Des Diables

The story begins in 1979 with Virginie’s father’s creation of a vineyard in the scree, at the foot of Cézanne’s Mont Sainte-Victoire, in Puyloubier. in 2006, Virginie Fabre and her partner Guillaume Philip came into the spotlight in the world of vineyards and wine, obtaining medals, distinctions and prizes for their first production of rosé wine, 2005 vintage, in the sub-region of Côtes-de-Provence Sainte-Victoire. The local wine-making microcosm was happy to attend the event and the birth of a new concept, “MiP” for Made in Provence.

The grape varieties are mainly composed of Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah, supplemented by Cabernet Sauvignon. The white grape is Rolle (or Vermentino). This allows them to develop wines from the simplest to the most complex blends. Each variety is adapted to a certain type of soil and a certain level of exposure to the sun, in order to make the most of the land. The Grenaches are planted on dry and draining soils, the Syrah on deeper and draining soils, Rolle on the coolest plots, best sheltered from the wind, and Cinsault on the chalkiest soils.
