Story
Created in 1999, LGI Wines is based in Carcassonne. They are considered as expert of sourcing french wines from South of France. They have tightened strong partnerships with several groups of growers. Those partnerships allow them to offer a wide range of entry level to premium wines from Languedoc and Gascony regions.
Vineyard
The 500 ha vineyard is composed of red clay and limestone soils.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested to undergo a brief skin-contact macertion. The fruit is then gently pressed and off-settled to ferment at low temperatures. Finally, part of the wine is aged in French Oak barrels, while the rest remains in stainless steel with the goal of obtaining a both rich and crisp wine with intense aromatics.
Tasting Notes
The wine is golden with green hues. The nose opens with citrus fruits, peach, pear and brioche. The mouth is full bodied with a round palate, offering flavors of stone fruit and a touch of vanilla.
Food Pairing
This wine is a ideal aperitif on a hot summer day, or paired with most seafood or white meat dishes.
