Story
Created in 1999, LGI Wines is based in Carcassonne. They are considered as expert of sourcing french wines from South of France. They have tightened strong partnerships with several groups of growers. Those partnerships allow them to offer a wide range of entry level to premium wines from Languedoc and Gascony regions.
Vineyard
The vines are located in the northern mountains of the Pyrénées and the Cévennes within the Pays d’Oc appellation in Languedoc-Roussillon. The Mediterranean Sea in the south offers hot and dry summers, with various terroirs. The soil is dense which gives perfect medium-bodied fruity wines.
Vinification
The grapes are harvested at night when the temperature is cool, in order to prevent oxidation. The juice is directly pressed for an elegant pale color. Low temperature fermentation enhances the aromatic profile. The wine stays on its fine lees at least two months and is stirred periodically, offering a smooth texture.
Tasting Notes
Elegant bright pink color. Aromas of strawberry and fresh notes of lychee and green apple. Dry and crisp with a refreshing finish.
Food Pairing
A perfect aperitif wine ideal with tapas or grilled fish.
