Created in 1999, LGI Wines is based in Carcassonne. They are considered as expert of sourcing french wines from South of France. They have tightened strong partnerships with several groups of growers. Those partnerships allow them to offer a wide range of entry level to premium wines from Languedoc and Gascony regions.
This Chardonnay is sourced from vineyards located on the top of the hillside of the Monte Vallon Valley. There, calcareous soils provide the best conditions for this world-renowed grape variety to express the best of its potential.
The grapes are harvested at night when the temperature is cool, in order to prevent oxidation. The fruit is pressed pneumatically , extracting only premium quality juice. Fermentation occurs and low temperatures in stainless steel tanks. After 3 months of aging in French Oak barrels, the wine is bottled.
Bright yellow color with golden hints. The nose is intense, with a bouquet of white peach and grapefruit, and hints of vanilla buttered notes. The mouth is full bodied, round and juicy.
A perfect aperitif wine ideal with tapas or grilled fish.
