Story
Meursault winegrowing area is the entry to the terroir of the very finest white wines, centered in Côte de Beaune. Meursault are distinguished by their qualities of roundness, richness and minerality.
Vineyard
This Meursault is made with a blend from a plot of our Domaine “Les Narvaux” and from purchased grapes in “Clos du Cromin”. The vines are between 40 and 50 years old, yield 25 hl/ha with a South-East, East facing slope. The soils are composed of brown limestone with ridges of marly-clay limestone.
Vinification
The grapes are hand-picked, and whole bunches are pressed directly in a pneumatic press. The wine is clarified in stainless steel vats, prior to being moved into oak (17% new) via gravity flow. Both alcoholic and malolactic fermentation occur without yeast addition, and the final wine is aged in barrels for 14 months.
Tasting Notes
Golden yellow hue with green tints, scents of yellow fleshed fruits and lemon. A lengthy finish with a touch of salinity.
Food Pairing
This wine is best paired swordfish steaks and grilled asparagus .
