The Auchère family’s winemaking tradition has been passed from grandfather to father to son for generations. At the head of the family estate ,Jean-Jacques Auchère personally approves each wine to assure quality and consistency.
The Auchère winery is located in the village of Bue, and their plots are sustainably farmed. The white vineyard is from those famous plots: Chene Marchand, Les Monts Damnes, Chasseignes, Les Deserts. The white Cuvée is issued from a clay (Chavignol) and limestone soil (Bue and Sancerre).
The vinification is performed by using traditional methods in stainless steel tanks, with a carbonic maceration to extract denser flavors. Light filtration before bottling.
The nose opens with pure minerality and hints of smoke and red fruit. The palate burst in red currants and black cassis, balanced by sharp acidity and supple tannins. This wine is refreshing with a long finish.
An excellent addition to grilled pork loin, lamp chops and hard cheeses.
