Few words can conjure up images of celebration, luxury and prestige like “Champagne”. The Champagne region is situated a mere 95 miles from Paris and covers just over 79,000 acres, making it the smallest of the great French wine-producing regions. Its limestone soils contribute a distinctive mineral character to the grapes, which the great Champagne houses work carefully to preserve and accentuate. The result is the distinctive, delicate balance of acidity and minerality so characteristic of Champagne.
